I graduated with BEng(Hons) in 1991 and MBA in Strategic Marketing with Distinctions in 2002. Along in my earlier industrious career, I was a National Youth Council(NYC) awardee, 1995.
I have been an industrial engineer, senior engineer, staff engineer, senior strategic planning analyst, order admin head, program manager, key account manager, customer fulfilment head, team leader, department manager, senior business manager, sales manager, marketing director, sales director, regional & country manager; the roles and positions I had assumed for the past 30-years with 3 multi-national companies.
Making my deliberate move into property twelve years ago came from the desire to serve and my passion on properties. My thoughts were if you hurled yourself into the deep, challenging real estate world with only one intend and to be successful with no PlanB, it can be done by staying tenacious yet modest and never ever to look back.
Prior to embarking on my premeditated leap of faith, I had eighteen years of property investment know-how analyzing the property market every night after work, speaking with industry experts and making realistic, calculated moves with my own money. The properties that I owned (mainly commercial properties besides residential) are testament of my analytical risk-reward skills, dare to take actions and believe in my own abilities.
I often share and provide insights to my clients during my viewing tours, either residential or commercial shophouses. If I am serving a buyer, you will often hear me say, “I am bullish with this property because…", or putting myself as the buyer; "I will buy this because...” I have bought properties myself so what I say may be useful references or at times, may even break the deal what you do not see that I saw. Credibility is of essence and we need to present ourselves honourably and to practice the right ethics, morals and principles. Choice is often yours to pick the right agent with the right knowledge, patience, integrity and presenting you with the right information. Staying honest is the Number 1 criteria all salespersons must have in this trade!
