Hi. I am looking to rent a retail store but am not sure on how the process is like. I understand there will be a 3 month advanced rental deposit? How soon will I be able to move in once the rent agreement is confirm? Will the utilities be included as well in the rental?

Hi

Renting a Retail Space is much more challening than renting residential space. It requires careful planning and involves lots of negotiations. An experienced agent who is familiar with Commercial/Industrial properties will be able to advise you on your enquires.

For Retail Space Rental, the security deposit is ranging for 3 months to 6 months depending on the company profile & other factors. Whether it is LLP, Pte Ltd, newly set-up company?, paid-up share capital, etc. In some special cases, security deposit can go up to 12 months.

A Rent-Free period can be negotiated with landlord for your renovation.

Rental does not include Utilities. A meter reader and distribution board might be needed to install at tenant cost if it is not available. Depending on your trade, some other technical specifications might also be required.

Will be able to advise if you need further consultation.

Thanks and Best Regards
