I am planning to take over a existing hair salon and I got an agent to represent me as the owner of the salon has her friend who is also an agent to represent her. As the owner's friend is doing her a favour as a friend to list her salon for takeover, my agent in turn ask me to pay for his comm which is usually beared by the owner. My agent is asking me for either 1 or 2 month of comm, depending on whether I am renewing the lease for 1 or 2 years, monthly rental is about $3000. Is this a normal comm rates that we must pay to the agent?
