Raffles Hotels & Resorts is continuing its worldwide expansion with a Philippe Starck transformation for Raffles Paris Le Royal Monceau and its first ultra-luxury resort in Seychelles. These projects follow the successful launch of Raffles Tianjin in China and its August debut in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
Raffles Praslin, Seychelle is set to open in early 2011 on Praslin Island, near the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Vallée de Mai. The resort features 86 villas and villa suites equipped with private plunge pools and outdoor sheltered pavilions. It boasts a wide array of services, including its Raffles Spa, featuring 13 pavilions, as well as its private dining experience.
Meanwhile, the Le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris is due to open in autumn this year, and is located near the luxury specialty stores and couture boutiques of Champs Elysees.
The hotel, whose interiors were transformed by French designer Philippe Starck, is set to be the favoured meeting point for travellers, intellectuals and artists.
Le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris features specially curated art exhibitions and a contemporary arts bookstore equipped with television screens beaming live feeds from art auctions. It is also the first hotel in the French capital to feature its own cinema.
