Ascendas shines in the 2012 Asia Pacific Property Awards, with the Changi City @ Changi Business Park (pictured) in Singapore and Singapore-Hangzhou Science & Technology Park in Hangzhou, China, bagging the awards for Highly Commended Mixed-Use Development and Best Industrial Development, respectively.
“For our projects to be recognised as the best by our peers is truly an honour for us. We challenge ourselves to look at ways to bring new ideas to the marketplace and to raise the bar in the development of business space in every new development,” commented Chong Siak Ching, President and CEO of Ascendas.
The winners were selected by a panel of 70 judges comprising architects, surveyors and property management firms.
Singapore’s Changi City @ Changi Business Park is a JV (joint venture) development between Ascendas and Frasers Centrepoint Limited. The lifestyle hub integrates office, hotel and retail components easily connected to public transport.
Meanwhile, the Singapore-Hangzhou Science & Technology Park in China aimed to launch Hangzhou as a centre in BPO, IT, Bio-tech and R&D industries. The modern high-quality buildings are nestled within a lush green campus linked to public transport and roadways.
“These integrated communities showcase the depth and breadth of our expertise and capability. We are grateful to all the parties involved in the development of each of these breakthrough projects which have contributed to this success,” noted Chong.
