In a move to provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a stable supply of industrial space, JTC Corp will launch its Small Footprint Standard Factories (pictured) at Tanjong Kling next month, according to Lim Hng Kiang, Minister of Trade and Industry.
JTC’s new single-user three-storey terrace standard factories are expected to add around 14,800 sq m to the company’s standard factory space portfolio.
The Small Footprint Standard Factories will also provide SME tenants with greater space flexibility, as structural provisions will be added for the easy installation of various material handling systems in the factory, said JTC.
By next year, the company will also launch the Surface Engineering Hub and MedTech1 @ MedTech Hub, which is expected to add 64,200 sq m of industrial space.
For the period between 2012 and 2013, around 500,000 sq m of multiple-user factory space will be offered to industrialists every year.
