Marina Square will undergo a major makeover at an estimated cost of S$95 million and is due to be fully completed by Q4 2014.
Phase One will see the construction of a new 50,000 sq ft gourmet wing called ‘The Dining Edition’ which is expected to be ready in June this year and will cost approximately S$15 million.
It will be easily accessible via City Hall and Esplanade MRT stations and already has an occupancy rate of 90 percent ahead of its completion with 14 F&B tenants.
“We are very pleased with the strong interest from established local and international F&B operators for The Dining Edition. With these brands, we are confident to draw well-travelled and taste-savvy consumers,” said Chan Yien Mei, General Manager of Marina Centre Holdings.
Meanwhile, Phase Two is a brand new 200,000 sq ft retail wing costing around S$80 million that will be built in an open space facing Marina Bay and the Esplanade Theatre.
“The extensive new retail wing is our commitment and reassurance to our customers – old and new – that we are constantly working on introducing new brands and products to excite them and enhance their experience at Marina Square Shopping Mall,” added Chan.
