Changi Airport will join forces with shopping mall developer CapitaMalls Asia (CMA) to erect a new iconic development dubbed ‘Project Jewel’.
In a statement, Changi Airport Group (CAG) said the project will be a world-class signature lifestyle destination that will help promote Singapore to global travellers.
To be completed in 2018, the complex will be built on the existing open-air carpark in front of Terminal 1.
Responding, CMA confirmed that it entered into an agreement with CAG through its unit CMA Singapore Investments.
“The project will involve the construction of a new mixed-use complex offering aviation and travel related facilities, a wide range of retail offerings, as well as unique leisure attractions…Further details will be announced at the appropriate time,” it added.
