Singapore-listed Boustead Singapore has clinched a contract valued at over S$20 million for the design and construction of Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC) located in Seletar Aerospace Park (SAP).
Boustead Projects, the group’s wholly-owned subsidiary which specialises in industrial property solutions, secured the contract from Airbus Asia Training Centre.
Designed to accommodate up to 10 full-flight simulators, the two-storey training centre is sited next to another aerospace development that was completed by Boustead, namely the Satair Airbus Singapore Centre.
Notably, the AATC is Boustead’s 15th aerospace project and its 7th within the 320-ha aerospace park, which houses many multinational firms involved in the field of avionics.
“We are delighted to support repeat client, Airbus in the delivery of its state-of-the-art fully-dedicated Airbus Asia Training Centre at SAP,” said Boustead Projects Managing Director Thomas Chu.
Given the new contract, the group’s order book backlog has reached more than S$315 million. However, it is not expected to have any material impact on Boustead’s profitability, earnings per share or net tangible asset value per share for the current fiscal year ending 31 March 2015.
