UK-based hotel operator Premier Inn is making its debut in Singapore with the opening of its first
hotel in the city-state, the 300-room Premier Inn Singapore Beach Road, in mid-2016.
The move is in line with the group’s plan to expand its Southeast Asia portfolio with properties in
Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand, as well as its plan to expand in India and the Middle East by
2018.
Erik van Keulen, Senior Vice President for Development (Asia-Pacific) at Premier Inn, said: “Our game
plan now is to establish ourselves well across the South-east Asia market because it is still
relatively new.”
“Singapore is a vital part in our international expansion strategy because it is an integral part of
South-east Asia, and this will support our growth in the region,” he added.
Located within proximity to the Sports Hub, Premier Inn Singapore Beach Road is also close to the
Haji Lane and Arab Street enclave, as well as the Marina Bay area.
Premier Inn Singapore Beach Road will offer rooms measuring from 193 sq ft. The hotel will feature
amenities including a swimming pool, gym, and meeting room facilities.
