Keppel REIT, together with its joint owner Mirvac Group (Mirvac), on Thursday (12 March) topped out the Old Treasury Building Office Tower in Perth, the 35-storey office tower located within the Cathedral and Treasury Precinct.
The ceremony was held at level 26 of the office tower and was officiated by Minister for Finance, Mines and Petroleum, the Honourable Bill Marmion, in the presence of Lord Mayor of the City of Perth, the Honourable Lisa Scaffidi, Keppel REIT Management CEO and Executive Director Ng Hsueh Ling, and Mirvac CEO and Managing Director, Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz.
The office tower, which features a modern and transparent façade, is 100 percent pre-committed with a 25-year lease with options for another 25 years to the Government of Western Australia. It is expected to be completed by mid-2015.
In March 2013, Keppel REIT acquired a 50% interest in the subject development.
