Local shopping mall VivoCity will have an additional 15,000 sq ft of retail space at its Basement 1, mall manager Mapletree Commercial Trust (MCT) Management announced Wednesday (15 April).
According to MTC, the expansion project is part the efforts to keep the mall relevant to shoppers.
The expanded space will be occupied by a new line-up of nine retailers like Steve Madden, Thomas Sabo, Rabeanco, Aeropostale, Lab Series, Etude House, and Innisfree, as well as the two retailers new to Singapore: American Eagle Outfitters and Weekends. These retailers will open progressively from Wednesday, the mall said.
“This new retail space will take advantage of a constant stream of shopper traffic due to its location at the main thoroughfare that connects HarbourFront MRT Station (at Basement 2) to the main shopping areas in the mall as well as the Sentosa Express Station (at Level 3). The addition will create a seamless shopping experience for our customers across all levels of the mall,” said Joanna Lee, Head of Retail Management at Mapletree Commercial Property Management.
