Singapore building firm Sunray Woodcraft Construction opened a 181,000 sq ft headquarters in Sungei Kadut where it began operations 7 May (Thursday).
The eight-storey building (pictured) located at 9 Sungei Kadut Street 3, also houses showrooms, warehouse, workers’ dormitory and production facilities.
The building is equipped with fully automated woodworking machineries, metal laser-cutting facilities and state-of-the-art powder coating spray booth as well as 35,000 square feet of space for warehousing and logistic support, the family-owned company said in a release. It also expects the move to building will help the company cut costs.
“With this streamlining, the company has effectively saved hundreds of truck trips per month and reduced our manpower requirements on the factory floor, thus doing more with less,” said Sunray CEO Connie Wu.
Wu added that the new facility will help Sunray capture more high-end and quality building projects springing up in the region.
Sunray currently has overseas projects in Macau, Myanmar, Indonesia and Malaysia, and has chalked up an annual revenue of more than S$200 million over the past five years.
