Following its closure to give way to renovation works that took nearly a year, heartland mall Compass One is set to open its doors to the public again in September, mall owner M&G Real Estate said in press release on Thursday (27 July).
According to M&G, 95 percent of the mall’s retail space has been leased to returning anchor tenants Cold Storage and Kopitiam as well as 50 new retailers that moved in last month following the granting of the mall’s Temporary Occupation Permit.
The mall will also feature a larger Sengkang Public Library, which will now span two floors. Larger common areas will also be available, more educational facilities and improved amenities including a children’s playground
Previously named Compass Point, the mall at Sengkang was renamed 1 Sengkang Mall through a social media contest. However, after the winning name drew flak online, the mall was renamed again to Compass One.
