Frasers Hospitality Trust Management, a fully-owned subsidiary of Frasers Centrepoint Limited, has acquired the entire equity interest in a Japanese godo kaisha known as AIA7 GK for 195,114 yen (approx. S$2,439).
AIA7 GK is a shell Japanese limited liability company, which was renamed Frasers Hospitality Japan Trust Management GK, while Frasers Hospitality Trust Management is the trustee-manager of Frasers Hospitality Business Trust (FHBT).
In an SGX filing, Frasers Centrepoint revealed that the acquisition, which will be fully satisfied in cash, was made “in connection with the provision of management services in respect of asset enhancement works for the retail component of ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe, a property owned by Frasers Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust (FH-REIT)”.
The units of FH-REIT, along with the FHBT units, form the stapled securities in Frasers Hospitality Trust.
