Harvey Norman has opened its first Singapore factory outlet at Viva Business Park (VBP), following the completion of the upgrade works by Viva Industrial Trust (VIT), revealed an SGX filing on Friday (14 July).
“We are delighted to have completed the asset enhancement at VBP and to have Harvey Norman open its first Singapore factory outlet,” said Wilson Ang, CEO of Viva Industrial Trust Management Pte Ltd.
Spanning 38,500 sq ft over two floors, the Harvey Norman Factory Outlet offers electrical, computer, and bedding products as well as European-made furniture.
“In addition, Gorilla Climbing Gym, the largest indoor air-conditioned rock-climbing facility in Singapore, also commenced operations, hosting the recent Asian Youth Championship with great success.”
With the opening of Harvey Norman, Gorilla Climbing Gym, True Fitness and Daily Coffee, VBP’s total ‘white’ space has achieved an occupancy rate of over 92 percent. As such, there are now 23 tenants there offering F&B, sports and fitness as well as family-oriented services daily from 7am to 10pm.
“Together with Decathlon, True Fitness, Alpha Gymnastics, Han Junior and a variety of F&B outlets, VBP has been transformed into an integrated establishment well-suited for family and sports enthusiasts,” Ang noted.
To celebrate this important milestone, VIT will hold the grand opening of VBP on 16 August that will be officiated by the Minister for Social and Family Development Tan Chuan-Jin. It is also inviting stockholders to attend the Investor Day celebration that will be held on the same day and venue.
