While it is the 14th most expensive destination to rent a desk space at US$472, Singapore’s desk rent is still 57 percent cheaper than in New York, where average rents stood at US$1,110, reported Singapore Business Review.
Desk rent in Singapore is also cheaper than in Hong Kong, where average rent hover at US$616, revealed The Global Cities Report by The Instant Group, which analyses the trend on flexible working spaces across major cities in the world.
The report revealed that 90 percent of co-working centres in Singapore can be found within the central business districts.
“There has already been a four times increase in co-working space in the city, but further growth is expected for the second half of 2017 as new operators open locations within Singapore,” added the report.
