JLL announced on Thursday (24 August) that it has launched a new service known as Command Centre, which provides property owners and tenants with advanced analytics and key info for real-time remote monitoring of buildings and facilities.
This high-tech monitoring system helps landlord and users reduce costs and risks as well as improve operations and maintenance by automatically identifying trends and anomalies via Wi-Fi sensors.
For instance, when a motion detector is triggered in a mall after operating hours, JLL’s Command Centre sensors can pinpoint the intruder’s location and quickly alert security, reducing property loss or damage.
It can also detect malfunctioning air-conditioning units in an office building if temperatures in some floors differ, and then automatically dispatch technicians to quickly fix the problem and ensure the comfort of the occupiers.
The Command Centre can also pre-empt potentially dangerous situations like overheating in a data centre and a water leak in an electrical switch room, which could cause fire, electrical hazards and damage to business operations.
“We developed this service to answer the needs of real estate owners and occupiers who are looking to make improvements in cost efficiency and reduce operational risk. It allows them to address issues before they become complaints, problems or failures,” said Peter Hilderson, Head of Engineering and Operations Solutions at JLL Asia Pacific.
JLL Asia Pacific’s Chief Operating Officer Albert Ovidi added that new product “is particularly helpful for those who own, occupy or manage large real estate portfolios because they can compare their buildings or the space they occupy and improve those that are not operating at their best.”
