A new office for Colliers International at Asia Square Tower 2

Colliers International said on Thursday (8 Nov) that it is poised to relocate its corporate office in Singapore from One Raffles Place, where it has been operating since 2009, to Asia Square Tower 2 by December 2018.

Over 180 of its staff will make the move, as part of plans to expand its business in Singapore. Colliers’ personnel will have the option of working from either the corporate office at Asia Square Tower 2 or at 31 Boon Tat Street, which has a relaxed and more informal setting.

Compared to its existing 9,659 sq ft office at One Raffles Place, Colliers will occupy a total of 10,991 sq ft at the two aforementioned locations – 3,869 sq ft at 31 Boon Tat Street and 7,122 sq ft of premium grade office space at Asia Square Tower 2.

“The way people work has become more mobile and flexible; therefore, we are offering our staff the option of working from either of two locations depending on which is more suitable to their needs and workstyle,” said Colliers International’s managing director Tang Wei Leng.

“This will help to further strengthen our employee proposition and attract top talent to the firm. We are open to considering other supplementary locations in the future in tandem with our business growth.”

The Singapore office move is part of the company’s Project PACE – an acronym for Productive, Active, Collaborative and Enterprise – a regional initiative with an objective to provide productive, engaging and flexible workspaces that embody Colliers’ culture of, community, entrepreneurship and fun.

“Our teams are multigenerational, highly mobile, and extremely high performance – our workplace needs to keep up. We will be integrating exciting new features and technology into our new offices to offer a dynamic work environment where staff can perform, collaborate and be effective to best of their potential,” said Samarth Kasturia, Colliers’ associate director for regional workplace strategy.

The upcoming office relocation marks a good time for Colliers in Singapore. In fact, the firm was involved in several major property transactions here this year. These include the sale of City Towers, Tulip Garden, Pearlbank Apartments and Sembawang Shopping Centre.

Colliers was also recently appointed by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) to handle the leasing and manage more than 180 heritage black and white bungalows.
