Ascendas-Singbridge announced on Thursday (15 February) that subsidiary Ascendas Vista Property was chosen by JTC to build Singapore’s first shared executive learning centre dedicated to nurturing future leaders.
Dubbed as the Mixed-use Executive Centre (MEC), the co-shared facility will feature innovative smart technologies and state-of-the-art interior furnishings and fittings to create a conducive environment to foster talent.
The integrated development spanning 2.4ha will consist of the Shared Executive Learning Centre, a Grade-A office tower, boutique F&B outlets and a luxury hotel.
Situated within Rochester Park, it is within proximity to other talent development players in one-north, such as ESSEC Business School, INSEAD Business School and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The project is also close to corporate universities like GSK, BASF Learning Campus and Unilever Four Acres Singapore.
“MEC offers a holistic environment where next generation leaders are nurtured, enabled by the integration of innovation and technology, and supported with the capabilities to execute that vision. With a vibrant community in one-north, we see great opportunities to connect talents here and beyond,” said Aaron Tham, Director of New Estates Division at JTC.
“We look forward to the MEC attracting the best-in-class talent development players and furthering the growth of the talent development cluster in Singapore and at one-north.”
Tan Yew Chin, Ascendas-Singbridge CEO for Singapore and Southeast Asia, added that they are excited to be given the opportunity to shape MEC, given the firm’s recent projects in one-north such as Galaxis and Ascent.
