Marrison@Desker – Hotel, a six-unit freehold conservation shophouse at Desker Road, will be put up for auction on 31 May, revealed marketing agent PropNex Realty.
Consisting of a corner unit with five adjoining 2.5-storey conservation shophouses, the subject development currently features F&B outlets and retail shops on the first level as well as 25 hotel rooms on the second level.
Zoned commercial within the Little India Conservation Area, the six units have a total land area of about 6,663.99 sq ft and a built-up area of about 12,270 sq ft.
The property is located near shopping malls such as the iconic Mustafa Centre and City Square Mall, and is also close to the Farrer Park and Jalan Besar MRT stations.
PropNex Realty corporate sales & auction head Clarence Goh noted that the property is selling with ground floor tenancy while the upstairs and attic are being sold as vacant possession and on a “as is where is” basis – where buyers acquire the property in its present condition.
As such, new owners acquiring the units can operate it as a hotel with licensing available.
Aside from the commercial shophouse, 20 more properties will be put up for auction on 31 May, including units at West Coast, French Road and Bukit Timah Shopping Centre.
