Singapore developer EL Development has teamed up with French multinational hospitality firm AccorHotels to open the first Pullman Hotel in Singapore at Hill Street within the civic and cultural district by 2022, reported BW HOTELIER.

“We are pleased to appoint AccorHotels to manage our first hotel and we will bring the same high quality that symbolises our residential and mixed-use buildings to what will be our first hotel development,” said EL Development managing director Lim Yew Soon.

The five-star luxury hotel with a total of 342 rooms will feature various amenities including a swimming pool and a health and fitness centre. It will also come with a rooftop bar and executive lounge overlooking Fort Canning, the Singapore River and St Andrew’s Cathedral.

“We are confident that the Pullman brand is the perfect fit for the market in Singapore as the brand has really built a strong reputation, especially in Asia,” Lim said.

AccorHotels’ high-end brand Pullman is one of the fastest-growing upscale hotels in the world since its launch in Bangkok in 2007.

“As the largest hotel operator in Singapore, we believe the new Pullman will fill a gap in the market for a smart, modern hotel that meets the demands of the discerning digital traveller,” said AccorHotels’ Asia Pacific chairman and CEO Michael Issenberg.

There are currently more than 120 Pullman hotels across 33 countries, with the Asia Pacific region housing over 70 hotels and resorts with a total of some 21,000 rooms.
