The Yellow Pages Building has been renamed Braddell House, after its owner changed the company name to reflect its shift in core business to property development.
At an extraordinary general meeting held on 26 October last year, shareholders of Global Yellow Pages Limited approved the group’s name change to GYP Properties Limited.
Braddell House forms part of GYP Properties’ portfolio of 303,172 sq m of land, comprising retail, residential and commercial assets in Singapore as well as New Zealand.
Located at 1 Lorong 2 Toa Payoh, the seven-storey building is situated above Braddell MRT station on the North-South Line.
Occupying a land area of 5,039 sq m, the property has a gross floor area of 13,268 sq m and is zoned light industry.
The company has leased excess space not required for self-occupation to tenants for rental income.
“We chose to include ‘Braddell’ in the name as we are situated directly above Braddell MRT station,” said Chua Joan Keat, chief financial officer at GYP Properties.
“It is from Braddell House that GYP Properties is headquartered and drives its corporate strategy. Our brand identity shows Braddell House nestled in a Red Dot, underlining our Singapore origins,” he added.
