The Ascott Limited, the wholly-owned lodging business unit of CapitaLand, has opened La Clef Champs-Élysées Paris in France.
Its third property under The Crest Collection, the luxury serviced residence is located within the city’s eighth arrondissement with its entrance on Rue de Bassano, which is near various attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Théâtre du Rond-Point, Grand Palais and Avenue des Champs-Élysées. It is also close to luxury boutiques and fashion houses at Avenue Georges V and Avenue Montaigne.
The property is housed within a five-storey Haussmannian-style building that was built in 1907 as a private residence of famous cognac distillers – the Hennessy family.
Unlike typical hotels, the 70-room La Clef Champs-Élysées Paris is a large private residence offering a mix of suites and duplex apartments of up to 56 sq m and featuring herringbone parquet flooring, bookcases and fireplaces.
“Ascott created The Crest Collection to distinguish an exclusive collection of serviced residences that offer a memorable experience through building heritage, architecture and location,” said Lee Ngor Houai, Ascott’s managing director for Europe.
“At the new La Clef Champs-Élysées Paris, which took us two years to conserve and enhance, our guests will feel at home and be able to experience the Parisian life, culture and history in a unique luxury residence.”
Ascott’s two other properties under The Crest Collection are the La Clef Tour Eiffel Paris and La Clef Louvre Paris.
Lee revealed that Ascott has 48 properties in Europe and more than 5,900 lodging units, over half of which are in France.
Recently, the group announced three new franchised Citadines properties in Europe – Citadines Sloterdijk Station Amsterdam which will open in March and two others in Nantes and Strasbourg, which are slated to open in 2019 and 2020.
“We aim to increase our presence in Europe to 10,000 units across 100 properties by 2023 through acquisitions of turnkey developments or existing buildings which Ascott can convert into lodging, management contracts and franchises,” noted Lee.
