Ascott revealed that the four Singapore property openings for this year will add 846 units to the lodging scene.
The Ascott Limited (Ascott) is cementing its position as Singapore’s largest serviced residence operator with the signing of its first Citadines Connect business hotel in the country, along with a record number of openings this year.
Secured under a franchise agreement, Citadines Connect City Centre Singapore brings Ascott’s total portfolio in the city-state to 17 properties across over 3,100 units.
Citadines Connect City Centre Singapore is located near the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station and Plaza Singapura, and is close to the retail and fashion district in Orchard Road. It is scheduled to open in 2021.
“We are on a strong growth trajectory, with our presence in our home market of Singapore expanding by over 60 percent in the past two years. We have a record opening of four properties this year and another four are expected to open by 2021,” said Ervin Yeo, Ascott’s regional general manager for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Ascott revealed that the four Singapore property openings for this year will add 846 units to the lodging scene.
Of these, three properties will open this month – lyf Funan Singapore, Ji Hotel Orchard Singapore and Citadines Balestier Singapore. Citadines Rochor Singapore will be opened in December.
To meet the growing demand for short-stay accommodation, Ji Hotel Orchard Singapore, Citadines Rochor Singapore and lyf Funan Singapore will have the flexibility of taking in daily stays under full hotel licenses.
Asia’s biggest co-living property, lyf Funan Singapore is located within Singapore’s civic and cultural district as part of the Funan integrated retail and commercial development.
Citadines Balestier Singapore sits atop a three-storey retail podium, near the Novena MRT station. It is just a short drive to the central business district and the Orchard Road shopping district.
Ji Hotel Orchard Singapore sits near the Orchard Road shopping belt and is a walking distance to Plaza Singapura and the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station. Citadines Rochor Singapore, on the other hand, is beside the Rochor MRT station and is a walking distance to two other MRT lines.
Aside from Citadines Connect City Centre Singapore, Ascott will also open lyf Farrer Park Singapore, lyf one-north Singapore and Citadines Raffles Place Singapore in the next two years.
