Eligible graduates can submit their applications for the 12-month Mapletree Traineeship before the closing date on 30 November.
Mapletree Investments will employ up to 30 trainees under a 12-month work-study full-time programme.
Known as Mapletree Traineeship, the programme is fully funded by Mapletree in a bid to support fresh graduates facing difficulty in finding employment within the city-state amid the global pandemic.
It will commence from December and is open to students who graduated from universities or polytechnics in 2019 or 2020, with less than one year of working experience.
Under the programme’s work component, trainees will get a chance to work on projects involving various business functions within Mapletree, such as finance / data analytics, information systems and technology, human resource, leasing and marketing, investor relations and property management.
“Trainees will have the opportunity to be rotated,” said Mapletree in a release.
The study component, on the other hand, will enable trainees to attend classes by the senior leaders of Mapletree as well as curated real estate courses from the SMU Real Estate Track. Courses include Introduction to Real Estate Economics, Law of Real Estate and Real Estate Investments and Finance modules.
Upon completion, trainees will be given a Mapletree-SMU certificate, while suitable trainees may be offered jobs with the Mapletree Group.
“The idea to develop the M-TRAIN programme came about because we recognised that the current pandemic has made it challenging for the fresh graduates to gain employment, and we see value in nurturing talent. By hiring these fresh graduates, we hope to give them a headstart in the real estate sector and hopefully bring about a synergy that strengthens Mapletree’s workforce and growth paths,” said Mapletree Group Chief Executive Officer Hiew Yoon Khong.
Eligible graduates can submit their applications before the closing date on 30 November.
