Soilbuild Business Space REIT has obtained an $80 million green loan from RHB Bank Berhad and OCBC Bank to refinance its Solaris@one-north project.
In an SGX filing, its manager revealed that this is the first green loan for the REIT.
A part of Singapore’s Fusionopolis cluster, Solaris@one-north is a 15-storey multi-tenanted facility that boast various innovative features such as a continuous spiral landscaped terrace, a green corridor with central courtyards as well as a unique solar shaft which helps create a naturally ventilated atrium. It also has rainwater harvesters to reduce water consumption and sun shading devices to minimise solar heat gain.
“Securing our maiden green loan attests to our capital management strategy of diversifying funding sources. It also supports our efforts in delivering long-term value to our stakeholders while creating a more sutainable feature,” said Roy Teo, Chief Executive Officer of the REIT Manager.
