Rochester Commons, which is set to become Singapore’s first integrated campus-style development, is set for completion in the fourth quarter of 2021, revealed CapitaLand in a release.
Located within one-north, the development will feature a hotel, a Grade A office tower, 12 black-and-white heritage bungalows and Catapult – an executive learning centre.
CapitaLand’s lodging arm The Ascott will operate the hotel component under the Citadines Connect brand. The 135-unit hotel will cater to both short and long stays and will entirely be digital-enabled, allowing guests to check-in, check out and make payments via an app.
Aside from featuring a swimming pool and a 24-hour gymnasium, the hotel will also have service robots performing tasks like concierge services, refilling room supplies and delivering clean laundry.
The 17-storey Grade A office tower, on the other hand, will offer more than 200,000 sq ft of core and flex working spaces.
“Corporates can choose from column-free large floor plates spanning 22,500 sq ft per floor or in one of the seven heritage bungalows that have been conserved and converted into unique workspaces,” said CapitaLand in a release.
The other five heritage bungalows will be occupied by food and beverage establishments.
Catapult is Southeast Asia’s first shared executive learning centre that is aimed at grooming executives for leadership agility with future-ready skills in a regional and global context.
“Prior to its launch at Rochester Commons next year, Catapult has already been hosting learning programme pilots since early 2019,” shared CapitaLand.
“These pilots are curated by Catapult and jointly conducted with knowledge partners, offering potential corporate clients a preview of the courses which will be available. In light of COVID-19, Catapult has successfully conducted these pilot programmes virtually since April 2020.”
The release noted that Rochester Commons will also feature outdoor social spaces “including a multi-purpose outdoor court named ’Common Ground’, where executives can take part in curated community events”. It also has bicycle parking and end-of-trip facilities.
Located near Buona Vista MRT station, Rochester Commons is between two major business hubs – the International Business Park at Jurong Lake District and the Central Business District.
