Singapore property and construction group KSH Holdings announced Monday (16 February) that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kim Seng Heng Engineering Construction, has won a S$78.2 million contract for the construction of the proposed 11-storey Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre at Shenton Way.
In a press statement, the group said the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre will have an art gallery, a recital hall, a multi-purpose hall and a 530-seat auditorium, and other facilities. “Activities such as arts and cultural performances, conferences and exhibitions will be held at the venue, located next to the Singapore Conference Hall.”
According to KSH, construction will commence after the Chinese New Year with completion within 89 weeks of commencement.
The award of contract has lifted KSH’s order book to over S$414 million, the group said, and is expected to contribute to the group’s financial results up to FY2017.
