The opening ceremony for Seletar Mall was held yesterday with Minister of State for Health Lam Pin Min as the guest of honour, media reports said.
Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Chairman Lee Boon Yang, United Engineers Ltd (UE) Group CFO Roy Tan and The Seletar Mall Pte Ltd’s Chairman Tony Mallek also graced the occasion, along with 200 invited guests including the mall’s tenants and business partners.
Offering six floors of retail space and three levels of parking, the building was built by The Seletar Mall Pte Ltd, a partnership between UE and SPH.
The family-oriented mall has more than 130 shops and all leasable space has been taken up, with major tenants such as UNIQLO, Foodfare foodcourt, BHG departmental store, and Amore Fitness & Boutique Spa.
Aside from the wide variety of shops from fashion to F&B outlets, customers can also watch the latest blockbusters at its Shaw Theatres Cineplex.
Located in the north-eastern part of Singapore, Seletar Mall is adjacent to Fernvale Light Rail Transit (LRT) station, which connects to the Sengkang bus interchange and Sengkang North-East Line (NEL) MRT/LRT station.
