A conservation shophouse along Jalan Besar has been put up for sale by expression of interest (EOI), marketing agent Knight Frank announced in a press release Tuesday (22 March).
Zoned for commercial use under the 2014 Master Plan, the shophouse located within the Little India Conservation area has a land area of 1,131.3 sq ft and a gross floor area of 2,180.8 sq ft.
According to Knight Frank, 65 Jalan Besar has a guide price of $4.8 million. This translates to $2,200 per sq ftbased on the gross floor area.
Ian Loh, executive director and head of Investment and Capital Markets at Knight Frank said: “The increased accessibility with the future Jalan Besar MRT Station will bring about higher footfall for the vicinity, and in turn, provide greater visibility to the shophouses along Jalan Besar. This property offers prominent frontage and presents itself a rare opportunity for investors or users to own a shophouse that is so rich in history.”
The EOI exercise for 65 Jalan Besar will end on 20 April.
