Construction on FM Global’s new loss prevention training and operations centre began Monday (22 August), with operations expected to start in early 2019.
Located within the Singapore Science Park, the S$80-million developments will consist of a six-storey facility will house the FM Global Asia SimZone, the company’s first hands-on training facility in Asia, and will be built by Ascendas-Singbridge.
The 125,000-sq ft facility will feature interactive laboratories and areas wherein natural hazards, fire, construction and electrical hazards can be simulated.
The commercial and industrial property insurer said the centre aims to extend these services to help the business community effectively protect their property against such risks.
