Soilbuild Construction Group has been awarded a contract by the Housing and Development Board (HDB) to build a ramp-up five-storey food complex at Bedok North Avenue 4.
With works set to commence in Q1 2017, Bedok Food City (pictured) will take around 32 months to complete, Soilbuild said in an SGX filing.
“We are encouraged by the award of this contract and to date, we have been awarded more than $700 million of contracts by the HDB since our entry into this sector in 2012,” said Ho Toon Bah, Executive Director, Soilbuild Construction.
“We will continue our effort to secure more projects in the local market, and remain focused on our operations to deliver quality buildings to our clients on schedule.”
He noted that the latest contract raised the group’s order book to $562.2 million.
Soilbuild does not expect the project to significantly affect the group’s consolidated net tangible assets and earnings per share for the current financial year ending 31 December 2017.
