Singapore-based hotel investment platform M&L Hospitality expanded its presence in Australia with the opening of West Hotel in Sydney.
The 182-room hotel marks the third property of M&L Hospitality in Sydney and sixth in Australia.
It is also the second new hotel to be built within Sydney’s central business district for around 17 years.
Situated on Sussex Street, the new hotel is close to the “new Barangaroo commercial and leisure precinct as well as the popular Darling Harbour waterfront”, said the hotel group in a release.
It noted that West Hotel is perfect for mixing business and pleasure as it features four suites, a fully equipped gym, a private meeting room and an elegant restaurant and bar.
“Corporate and leisure travellers are demanding a distinctly different hotel stay, with many opting for a boutique, personalised and well-located hotel experience. West Hotel’s prime position close to Barangaroo and strong design elements will provide these travellers with a truly new and unique hotel experience in this dynamic Sydney CBD location,” said M&L Hospitality chief executive officer Neil Maxwell.
West Hotel’s opening brings the global portfolio of M&L Hospitality to 15 hotels across seven countries.
