Savills Singapore has launched a new brokerage service and website listing platform aimed at helping growing businesses find flexible, co-working and serviced office space in Singapore.
Called workthere.com.sg, the site offers a professional, easy and transparent way for providers to let their space while helping occupiers to identify flexible working space suitable to their needs.
The platform will serve the city-state’s entire flexible workspace market, including well-known brands like The Executive Centre, Servcorp, District6, The Work Project, GreenHub Suited Offices, Centennial BusinessSuites, Collective Works, WeWork, JustCo & Just Office, The Great Room and other independent providers.
Savills launched Workthere in the UK in February last year, and following its success, the firm is expanding the service across Europe with Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands representing the first European presence of Workthere.
“Singapore has witnessed considerable growth in the flexible workspace sector, with many new entrants coming to the market,” said Workthere founder and global head Cal Lee.
“At the same time, demand for flexible workspace continues to grow as more businesses, including startups, SMEs and even larger corporate companies, are seeing the benefits of flexible workspace over a more traditional lease.”
The Workthere service in the city-state will be managed by Yann Deschamps, who will serve as Workthere Asia Pacific head. With 20 years of experience in the commercial sector, Yann was formally from Savills Shanghai before he moved to Singapore to take on the role and manage the development and roll-out of Workthere within the region.
“The demand for flexible workspaces has been growing phenomenally across the globe. Combining Workthere’s online search capabilities with a bespoke ‘in-market’ Savills advisor for free, delivers a key differentiator that sets us apart and is a unique proposition over and above any normal search engine,” said Yann.
