Perennial Real Estate Holdings has appointed Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group, Kempinski Hotels, to operate The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore at Capitol Singapore.
The first luxury heritage lifestyle integrated development in Singapore’s downtown Civic District, Capitol Singapore comprises three heritage buildings and houses the iconic Capitol Theatre, shopping and dining destination Capitol Piazza, Eden Residences Capitol as well as the upcoming The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore – which will serve as Kempinski’s flagship hotel here.
Positioned as a luxury lifestyle destination, The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore will feature 157 guest rooms and suites as well as an international restaurant under the helm of a Michelin-star chef.
“The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore’s full range of services will be made available over the course of several phases towards the end of 2018, starting with the hotel’s services in September 2018,” said Perennial in an SGX filing.
Perennial CEO Pua Seck Guan revealed that since it announced plans to acquire the remaining 50 percent stake in Capital Singapore, the company received over 15 proposals from world renowned hotel brands and operators keen on operating the hotel.
“The proposals were thoroughly reviewed with the key selection criteria focused on the track record of the operator, overall concept, particularly on the F&B options and range of services for Eden Residences Capitol, and the financial contribution to Perennial.
“Kempinski is an internationally-renowned hotelier reputed for its deep expertise in managing luxury hotels, resorts and serviced residences, hosting large-scale meetings and events, as well as providing programming support for theatres adjacent to its hotels. Combining the rich heritage of Capitol Singapore with the finest traditions of European hospitality, The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore is set to become a landmark destination which will redefine service standards and create exquisite guest experiences,” he added.
