Following a $60 million revamp that took nine months to complete, Century Square mall in Tampines re-opened on Wednesday (6 June) with over 130 stores.

The six-storey mall, which drew one million monthly visitors previously, now covers 210,000 sq ft, up from 199,000 sq ft before the makeover.

More than 65 percent of its shop units comprise new tenants, including iconic sportswear retailer Foot Locker.

The mall will also house furniture store Fullhouse, culinary store ToTT, Shanghai fashion retail chain Hotwind, Filmgarde Cineplex and 24-hour gym Gymmboxx.

Homegrown fashion label M)phosis will also “return to Century Square, with its signature contemporary and clean-cut designs”.

Conveniently located near Tampines MRT interchange, the mall also features 45 F&B establishments including Kim Choo Kueh Chang, chicken rice chain Boon Tong Kee, Korean fusion café Two Hana and Thai restaurant Nakhon Kitchen.

Other food outlets include The MeatHouse, Sichuan-style hotpot restaurant Hai Di Lao, Ichiban Boshi and Laura Café.

The National Library Board’s digital library service eReads can also be found at the mall along with The Learning Lab and The Orange Academy.

“We’ve listened to the Tampines community and curated a good mix of tenants to ensure that the new Century Square sets itself apart, to not just meet the needs but excites everyone living and working in the neighbourhood, bringing a purposeful shopping experience and opportunity for quality time with colleagues, friends and family,” said AsiaMalls Management executive director Ong Kee Leng.
