French hospitality group Accor will open the first ibis Styles hotel in Singapore during the fourth quarter of this year, media reports said.
The economy brand hotel, called ibis Styles Singapore, is located on the former site of Hotel Windsor at the corner of Aljunied and MacPherson roads. The 298-room hotel comes with a pool bar, modern gym and restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.
The building is next to MacPherson Mall, part of the same integrated development. It has a ship-like exterior while the interiors have been refurbished with innovatively designed furniture.
Moreover, ibis Styles Singapore will offer free shuttle service to MRT stations and major attractions in the city-state. The shuttle route will be announced later this year.
The property is owned by LVND Hotels, a consortium comprising 2E Capital, Lian Huat Group and Singapore-listed Nobel Design Holdings. The partners chose the ibis Styles brand due to its budget-friendly accommodations and strong design appeal.
