A 0.77ha site at Jalan Lam Huat (Plot B) in Kranji has been launched for sale under the Industrial Government Land Sales (IGLS) Programme for the second half of 2018.
JTC said on Tuesday (30 Oct) that the site has a gross plot ratio of 2.5 and a leasehold tenure of 20 years. It is intended for Business 2 (B2) purposes, meaning it can be utilised for heavy industries.
Plot B also represented that fourth out of six confirmed list sites for the second half 2018 IGLS Programme. This land parcel was released for sale as part of the authorities’ efforts to provide more choices for industrial development.
The tender exercise for the Jalan Lam Huat site will close on 26 December.
The Business Times reported that Plot B was previously launched for sale under the IGLS Programme for the second half of 2017. Only one party submitted a bid, but the offered price was not accepted as it was too low.
On the other hand, the neighbouring Plot A was awarded in September 2017 to JC Development, which offered the highest price of $6.16 million among five bidders.
Meanwhile, JTC is expected to launch two other industrial sites for sale later this year – a 0.44ha plot at Tuas South Link 3 and a 1.3ha land parcel at Jalan Papan, which is the biggest confirmed list site this year.
These are expected to be launched in November and December respectively.
